A sport facility. The home stadium of the Avangard Hockey Club, one of the leading KHL clubs.
All the complex objects are designed within a single architectural and aesthetic idea. The building integrity is conditioned by its function. The oval building is divided into several functional spaces. The central part is occupied by an ice rink and spectator tribunes with a high tilt angle for a better view. An extensive space is reserved for sports facilities of the club and guest teams. The Hall of Fame Museum, retail zones and catering and recreation facilities located on all tribune levels are designed in a single functional complex. A special feature of the project is the central part of the Arena – the promenade, where large recreation areas are located on two levels. The building also provides facilities for VIP guests, a media sector and built-in car parking.
The facility function determines the organization of a number of additional structures on the site, such as spectator screening pavilions, storage rooms and vehicle checkpoints. The design feature of the Arena was the double facade system, which consists of two contours. Full glazing of the building front and metal structures with LED panels around the perimeter, which are used as a backlit media screen.
